Greetings amigos,
This year's tournament is producing what surely must be the tightest qualifying stage in Soares Cup history. The encounters in groups A and C both ended all square, as SJ and Ben played out a 2-2 draw, and Adam and Theo W shared 8 points evenly between them in an entertaining 4-4 encounter. As a result, just a point separates all managers in both groups, meaning all is very much to play for going into the final 2 rounds of qualifying stage fixtures. In Group B I managed to maintain my 100% record in defeating Phil 7-3 and in doing so have secured my place in the knockout phase; given how tight the other groups are, Phil and Dave still have every chance to qualify in the best runner-up spot.
Any mistakes let me know, Matchday 5 will take place during the weekend of 4-5 January.
