The Soares Cup: Semi-Final 2nd Leg

Greetings amigos,

Semi-finals - the cruellest time to be eliminated from any competition.  Sadly this is a fate that two managers experience every season in The Soares Cup, and 2016-17 is no different.  In the first semi-final it was Adam who was left disappointed as he was convincingly defeated 16-8 in the second leg of his tie against SJ, making the aggregate score over two legs 26-16.

Who would SJ face in the final?  The other tie saw Theo W take a 3 point advantage into the second leg, however, Nick overturned this deficit with room to spare as he triumphed 8-3 to take the tie 12-10 on aggregate.

So, onto the final!  SJ will face Nick during the weekend of 6th May.  With the domestic title seemingly sewn up, SJ is striving to make history by winning back-to-back domestic doubles after he won both the league and The Soares Cup last season.  Nick stands in his way, and he will be wanted to win his first major silverware since 2013-14 when he last won this competition.  Whoever triumphs will become the first manager in Predictio history to win The Soares Cup for a second time.

Roll on 6th May!

Take it easy,

Danny

Semi-Final 2nd Legs:

SJ  16 (26) v 8 (16)  Adam
Theo W  3 (10) v 8 (12)  Nick
