The halfway point of the group stage of The Soares Cup, and the big story is that both of last year's finalists are facing uphill tasks to get themselves into the knockout phase. Theo L lost 7-3 to Phil, meaning that he's stuck on 0 points with both Ben and MD on 4 points in Group A. Dave has a point to his name, but his 4-10 defeat to Theo W has put him in a tough spot in Group C. The game in Group B saw Nick edge out SJ 7-5, meaning that all 3 managers have a win apiece and are separated by points difference.
