Greetings amigos,
The group stage of The Soares Cup came to its conclusion during the last round of fixtures and produced a trio of away wins. In Group A, Nick and Theo L went head to head in what was effectively a play-off for a semi-final spot in which Theo triumphed 6-9 to win the group and make it through to the knockout stage. In Group B Adam convincingly defeated SJ 5-12, which delivered top spot for Ad and a place in the semi-finals. Finally, in Group C Theo W overcame Dave 1-4, however, Ben already had that group sewn up after taking 9 points from his 4 games. The final spot in the knockout phase went to myself as the best runner-up on 7 points just one point in front of Nick in Group A and Theo W in Group C.
