The 2nd leg of the semi-final showdown between Mr Moore and Mr Raistrick took place this weekend, and after an acrimonious and controversial build up, the result could hardly have been more comprehensive. Phil triumphed 13-6 to take the tie 20-11 on aggregate, leaving Mr Raistrick to lick his wounds and focus solely on his title challenge for the remainder of the season.
The final of the 2014 Soares Cup will be contested between Mr Crinnion and Mr Moore, and will take place over the weekend of 3rd May. Mr Moore will be hoping that he can go one better than 2013 when he was runner-up, whilst it's Mr Crinnion's first appearance in a major final and offers him the opportunity for his first major trophy since his 2007-08 Predictio title.
It promises to be quite an occasion.
