Results (22nd & 23rd March)

Greetings amigos,

A week that saw the most ever goals in a Premier League round of fixtures made spot-ons hard to come by, or so you would think.  Despite the record breaking goals tally, scoring was still pretty high as a trio of managers - Mr Luke, Mr Raistrick and Mr Crinnion - amassed 10 points apiece, with Mr O'Callaghan and Mr West a point behind on 9 each.  Elsewhere Mr Moore and myself notched 8 points, whilst Mr McClay (6) and Mr Stewart-Jones (4) completed the scoring.  It's pretty much as-you-were in the tables, as Nick has a seemingly insurmountable 7 point lead in the monthly race and Ben has a commanding 10 point lead in the overall table. With 7 Predictio weekends to go, Jamine will fancy his chances of winning his first league title, but with 3 managers within 20 points he won't be counting his chickens just yet.

Any mistakes let me know - fixtures to follow.

Take it easy,

Danny

Results (15th & 16th March)

Greetings amigos,

Mr McClay bounced back from his recent well publicised managerial turmoil with a performance that rolled the clock back to his famous double-winning season - Dave scored a very impressive 11 points in a week that saw some surprising results.  Another manager that can be very happy with his performance is Mr Crinnion, who continued his fine form of late to amass 9 points, opening up a 5 point lead at the top of the monthly table and, more importantly, jumping to second in the overall standings and to within 10 points of Mr Raistrick, who scored 5 points.  The other manager with his sights set on the leader is Mr O'Callaghan, who also maintained his recent momentum with 8 points - Adam is now just 3 points from 3rd and 17 from top spot.  Elsewhere the scoring was less convincing, as Mr Moore scored 6, Mr Stewart-Jones and Mr West 5 apiece, and finally Mr Luke and myself just 4 each.

Any mistakes let me know - fixtures to follow.

Take it easy,

Danny

Results (8th & 9th March)

Greetings amigos,

A weekend short on fixtures was always going to be low on scoring, unless you're Mr Moore that is.  MD managed to score a very impressive 8 points including 2 spot-ons from just 5 games.  Phil has all but closed the gap to Mr Crinnion in the monthly table and has leapfrogged Mr McClay in the overall table as a result.  Elsewhere the scoring was less eye catching, as Mr McClay, Mr Stewart-Jones, Mr West and myself all scored 3 points and Mr Luke, Mr O'Callaghan, Mr Raistrick and Mr Crinnion all scored 2 points.

Any mistakes let me know - fixtures to follow.

The Soares Cup: Semi-Final 1st Leg

Greetings amigos,

The Soares Cup has now reached the business end of proceedings, as this weekend 4 managers went head to head in the first legs of the semi-final stage.  The first semi-final saw Ben take on Phil and it is MD that will take an advantage into the 2nd leg as he triumphed 5 - 7.  The margin at half-time of the other tie is not as slender, due to Nick's crushing 15 - 6 win over Adam.  Ad will need to produce a stunning performance in the return leg to deny Nick his place in the 2014 final.

SF1:  Ben  5 v 7  Phil
SF2:  Nick  15 v 6  Adam

The return legs will take place on the weekend of 5th April.

Take it easy,

Danny

Results (1st & 2nd March)

Greetings amigos,

After spending much of the first half of the season in the top 3, Mr Crinnion's form dwindled in early 2014 causing pundits to question whether or not he could add to his previous Predictio title this time around.  The doubters were silenced this week as Nick scored a hugely impressive 15 points from just 8 games to take a commanding lead in the monthly race and, crucially, leap up to 2nd in the overall table - Crindog's title challenge is well and truly back on.  Elsewhere scoring was of a more run of the mill nature, as Mr Moore scored 7, Mr O'Callaghan and Mr Luke scored 6, Mr Raistrick and myself scored 5 and Mr Stewart-Jones and Mr West scored 4.  Mr McClay's tumultuous year took another turn for the worse as he failed to submit predictions.

Any mistakes let me know - fixtures to follow.

Take it easy,

Danny
