Results (24th & 25th March)

Greetings amigos,

The slip that the chasing pack were waiting for from table topping Mr McClay took place this week as Dave only added 3 points to his total. However, the managers immediately behind the leader in the title race failed to take advantage as Mr Crinnion (6) and Mr Stewart-Jones, Mr Luke and myself (all 4 points) all struggled as well. Elsewhere Mr O'Callaghan's holiday approach of 2-1 in every game provided food for thought as he top scored with 9 points to put himself in with a genuine shot at the monthly gong, whilst Mr Moore notched 6 points and Mr Raistrick was a point behind Mad Dog with 5. Mr West failed to submit predictions and as such had a zero point week.

Any mistakes let me know - fixtures to follow.

Take it easy,

Danny

Results (17th & 18th March)

Greetings amigos,

A reduced fixture list produced a low scoring weekend for most managers, although reigning champion Mr Luke reminded everyone that he's still in the hunt to retain his title by top scoring with 8 points to leapfrog Mr Crinnion (who scored 3 points) into 3rd place in the overall table and take a 5 point lead in the monthly race. Mr Moore came back with a respectable 7 point haul, whilst Mr McClay, Mr O'Callaghan and Mr West all added 5 points to their respective totals. Finally Mr Raistrick and myself both scored 4 points and Mr Stewart-Jones' recent impressive form stumbled a little as he amassed 3 points.

Any mistakes let me know - fixtures to follow.

Take it easy,

Danny

Results (10th & 11th March)

Greetings amigos,

As the season approaches the stage at which managers' arses everywhere start producing high pitched exclamations of the pressure situation that the respective rear end finds itself in, the 2011-12 vintage is shaping up to produce a crescendo of squeaks over the coming weeks. Mr Stewart-Jones continued his consistently strong form to notch 9 points and again reduce Mr McClay's lead at the top of the table - Dave added 7 points to his tally and as such now leads the table by 5 points. Away from the 2 title favourites, Mr Luke also scored 9 points to join SJ at the top of the monthly race; Lucozade now sits in 4th place in the overall table with Mr Crinnion 1 point ahead and myself 1 point behind - Nick and I both notched 5 points this week. Elsewhere Mr O'Callaghan scored 8 points, Mr West 4 points and Mr Raistrick struggled somewhat as he ended on 2 points. Mr Moore enjoyed the final weekend of his rest period and did not add to his total.

Any mistakes let me know.

Take it easy,

Danny

The Soares Cup Semi-Final 1st Leg Results

Greetings amigos,

Both semi-finals are still wide open following the first legs, with just a couple of points separating both ties at the halfway stage. SJ will be the most confident of progressing to the final as he will go into the second game with a 2 point advantage and 8 away points to fall back on in the event of a tie after he triumphed 6-8 against Dave. In the other match up, Lucozade takes a 1 point lead into our return fixture after he secured an 8-7 victory in his home leg. No one likes to lose a semi-final, and with these ties finely balanced all 4 managers will be hopeful that they don't taste defeat in the penultimate round of the competition.

Dave 6 v 8 SJ
Theo L 8 v 7 Danny

The return legs will be played on the weekend of 7th & 8th April.

Take it easy,

Danny

Results (3rd & 4th March)

Greetings amigos,

A pretty low scoring week sees the table largely unchanged, although Mr Stewart-Jones managed to slightly reduce Mr McClay's lead at the top as he scored 8 points to Dave's 6 - the Ulsterman now has a 7 point advantage over his nearest challenger. Mr Luke scored 8 points and I scored 7 to maintain our positions in 5th and 4th respectively, whilst Mr Raistrick added 6 points to his total and Mr O'Callaghan and Mr West both scored 4 points apiece. Mr Moore's strike action continued as he failed to submit predictions for a third week on the trot. Finally, Mr Crinnion will be kicking himself as he also had a zero point week, which sees him drop to 3rd in the table.

Any mistakes let me know, fixtures to follow.

Take it easy,

Danny
