Results (24th May)

Greetings amigos,

The final day drama was solely focused on the monthly managerial award, as Mr Luke (5) and Mr O'Callaghan (3) failed to produce the sort of miracle week that was required to wrestle the Predictio Title trophy from my grasp.  I managed 5 points to take first place for the second time in my career by a margin of 20 points.  Mr Stewart-Jones' late charge for some silverware was not enough as he amassed 7points - unfortunately for SJ, Mr Moore scored 12 to take the final monthly gong of the season, as well as leapfrogging Adam to finish in 3rd place overall - congratulations amigo.  Elsewhere, Mr Crinnion ended the season with 7 points, whilst Mr Soares elected to start his summer rest period early as he failed to submit predictions.

So that's that for 2008-09; thanks to all for taking part in this the fifth Predictio season.  Rest up gentlemen, as it's only 82 days until it all starts again!

Take it easy,

Danny

Results (16th & 17th May)

Greetings amigos,

Unlike a certain team of no hopers that adorn red and white stripes, most Predictio managers are ending the season with a flourish.  Five out of seven accumulated double figure points totals this week, with myself (14), Mr Luke (13), Mr Moore (12), Mr Soares (11) and Mr O'Callaghan (10) all impressing.  Mr Stewart-Jones may have lost his grip on the monthly award with his 6 points, whilst Mr Crinnion looks set to end the season without silverware as he amassed 5.  The title is mine to throw away as I have a healthy lead, but given the undoubted talents of the chasing pack, I won't be counting my chickens just yet.

Any mistakes let me know.  Fixtures to follow.

Take it easy,

Danny

Results (9th & 10th May)

Greetings amigos,

Results in the final weeks of the season can often be hard to predict given the mix of teams fighting for their lives, teams fighting for the top spots and teams already on the beach.  This week was no different, and a lot of managers struggled as a result.  Mr Soares was the top scorer with an impressive 9 points, whilst I was a couple off the pace with 7 to maintain my momentum and stay in top spot.  Mr O'Callaghan and Mr Moore followed on 6 points, with Mr Stewart-Jones (5), Mr Luke and Mr Crinnion (both 4) completing the picture.  SJ is leading the monthly race by 2 points - he'll be hoping that he can do what's needed to snatch the last silverware that's available to him to avoid a season without silverware.  With several managers in close pursuit though, it's a race that will go to the death.

Any mistakes let me know, fixtures to follow.

Take it easy,

Danny

Results (2nd & 3rd May)

Greetings amigos

A weekend of last day drama in the Football League and ever increasing tension in the Premiership produced a very high collective total of 10 spot-ons and 79 points.  Mr Stewart-Jones took 16 of those points (and 3 of the spot-ons) to put himself in pole position in the race for the final monthly award of the season.  Mr Luke was hot on SJ's heels as he gained 15 points - a performance that sees him leapfrog Mr O'Callaghan into 2nd place as Adam struggled somewhat on 6 points.  Mr Moore (13) and myself (12) were just off the weekly pace, whilst Mr Crinnion (9) and Mr Soares (8) also lagged behind the monthly leaders.  With 3 weeks of the season remaining my lead looks a commanding one, although if Theo can maintain the momentum of this week's performance and Adam rediscover his form of earlier in the season, anything is still possible.

Any mistakes let me know, fixtures to follow.

Take it easy,
